FAQs Zanesville – OH Utilities
Why does Zanesville need a new Stormwater Fee?
Stormwater services were preliminarily funded from profit deduced from income levies collected by the City general fund, profit from the aseptic seamster fund, and profit from a temporary stormwater elimination cargo figure that was approved by the megacity council in 1987.
This elimination cargo figure, funded small capital systems in the areas of the megacity that bear flood tide protection, and water quality results were rescinded and replaced with the current stormwater mileage figure.
Who has to pay the stormwater fee?
All developed parcels that contain impervious areas are charged a stormwater figure. marketable parcels are billed per Equivalent Residential Unit( ERU)(,300 square bottoms), while single-family domestic parcels, duplexes, some condominiums and some agrarian land are billed at 1 ERU. Uninhabited lots will be barred since there’s no impervious area on those parcels.
