Located in the megacity of Portsmouth, the University of Portsmouth is an open university.
With a history dating back to 1908, the parking structure was established as a community council and public library.
The university got university status in 1992 through the Father and Advance Education Act. Before that, it was called Portsmouth Polytechnic.

University of Portsmouth Library
The new extension to the University of Portsmouth Library creates a largely visible entrance to the library and provides important demanded fresh accommodation including IT installations,
